About this artwork: La Vie en Rose

This painting features a wonderful botanical assortment, including dragon trees, kangaroo paws, frangipani, xanadu, and plenty of my favourite succulent beauties! I loved painting the peachy skyline and filling this piece with eucalyptus greens, terracotta, tans, pinks, and whites.

But why is this painting called La Vie en Rosé?

I have always loved the meaning of the original song, seeing life through rose-tinted glasses and feeling happy and carefree. But, of course, I had to add my own twist with two key elements. The first is that the painting includes a hidden bottle of Rosé with four glasses poured, ready for your enjoyment. The second is the addition of the symbol for the Egyptian goddess Hathor, who inspires fun and frivolity. She is widely regarded as the goddess of love, beauty, music, dancing, fertility, and pleasure.
