Dragonflies blow my mind with their beauty and cleverness. The way they fly — even upside down — seems effortless and mesmerising. Their ability to instantly change direction is a beautiful reminder to stay adaptable and lighthearted when facing life’s challenges.

I loved painting this pretty scene filled with frangipani, seedpods and palms, while playing with the colours of grape and light blue in particular.
