Scribbly Gum Lane Original Artwork

Scribbly Gum Lane is on the way to my framer, and every time I pass it, I imagine it filled with towering eucalypts cheekily tattooed by scribbly gum larvae, who later become Ogmograptis moths.

The scene below is a tapestry of wildflowers, seedpods, palms and native grasses, bringing together the abundant beauty of the Australian landscape.

The intricate colours and markings of the scribbly gum bark inspired this neutral yet earthy palette of terracotta, wheat, gold, milk chocolate and charcoal.

There is also a square (but equally lovely) sister painting called Golden Hour.
